Dear Friends and Neighbors of Wright County,

I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for District 5 Wright County Commissioner. After much deliberation, prayer, and encouragement from many of you, I have decided to run for this position to serve our district with transparency, dedication, and a commitment to positive change.

 

I am a husband, a father of 3, and a volunteer coach for my son’s sports teams. I am a graduate of Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted High School, have a degree in Management, and for the past 6 years I have served on the Montrose City Council, 2 years as a council member and 4 years (in December) as Mayor. For the past 11 years I have worked with teenagers in residential care and currently serve as a facility manager. These experiences have equipped me with the skills and insights needed to effectively represent our district.

 

Wright County is at a pivotal moment. We face numerous challenges, from maintaining our infrastructure and managing growth sustainably, to ensuring our public services meet the needs of all residents. I believe that with proactive leadership, we can turn these challenges into opportunities for improvement and innovation. I am committed to ensuring that Wright County continues to thrive.

 

As your County Commissioner, I will prioritize:

1. Economic Development: Promoting sustainable growth and supporting local businesses to create jobs and improve the local economy.

2. Public Safety: I will work closely with law enforcement and community organizations to keep our townships, cities, and neighborhoods safe.

3. Fiscal Responsibility: Manage County resources efficiently and effectively to achieve LOWER taxes.

4. Common Sense Approach to Government: Implement practical policies that reflect the needs and values of Wright County.

5. Infrastructure and Transportation: Investing in our roads, bridges, and public transportation to ensure safety and accessibility for all residents.

6. Support Agriculture: I will advocate for our farmers and agricultural businesses to ensure that they have the resources and support needed to aid in their success.

 

I believe in an open and collaborative approach to government and that smaller government is better government. Your input and involvement are important, and I am committed to being accessible and responsive to your concerns. I will work for the people of Wright County. Together, we can build a brighter future. I ask for your support and your vote in the upcoming election. Let’s work together to make Wright County an even better place to live, work, and raise our families.
